CELEBRATE FREEDOM -2008 NOVEMBER 8TH
Hello Everyone,
We need some help!
This year's Celebrate Freedom - sponsored by the local CAF Squad at R.L. Jones airport will be on November 8th.
As part of the clebration which includes a mini-airshow and lots of WWII aircraft, the squad also wants to have our WW2SOT station up and running.
Last year several of the local HAMS cameout and worked a mobile station behinid the grandstand and we had a great time.
I will not be able to attend this year due to a prior committment, but I would like to encourage any AAARC club member to go out and set up the equipment and operate that day. Most of the operation is from 8-12 NOON. The call sign is WW2SOT which belongs to the squad.
A Yeasu radio is available to use - all is needed is a G5RV or portable antenna to get hooked up. Power is available at the site.

It is usually very good weather, and you will have a great time!
