TWU Negotiators reconvened this afternoon at AMRs Flagship University. All represented work groups met with the company as they presented their analysis of cost outs covering the TWU pensions, medical coverage ptions, and sick time and retiree medical costs savings. The TWU Benefits Committee attended the presentation at the request of the Negotiating Committee. The company held a brief Q and A session immediately following their presentation.
Several negotiators worked over the weekend reviewing company data and costing out with TWU economists. The analysis of AMR’s business plans are loaded with data that must be examined thoroughly to arrive at accurate numbers. This work will continue over the next few days as the committee gets closer to presenting a counter proposal.
At this time, AMR has not responded to TWUs proposal regarding an early out/ separation from the company. We will keep you informed when they do.
