Oklahoma law requires employers to allow their employees time to vote. Workers must notify their employer at least one day before the election that they intend to exercise their right to vote and after voting they must produce proof they indeed voted. Employers must adjust work hours so they either do not begin before 10 a.m. or so that they do not end after 4 p.m. – giving workers a three-hour window to vote. Or, employers must grant workers sufficient time – at least two hours – to leave work to vote during the shift (the employer can select the time window).
