What is the deal, with employee services shutting down at the admin building here in Tul, and why are we seeing a number of company vehicles that are not company owned but are rentals from Notnu Rentals?

isnt the use of sick time a contractually faught for right? if it is then why are we being harrassed every time we use a sick day? why does our union stand for such action? isnt this why we are unionized in the first place?

What was said in this column is so true. We can help ourselves not only by being vocal to each other and to be heard within our community, we must get our elected officials to hear us at all levels. So many issues that involve labor have been left to deaf ears in politics and it is time to let those ears open up and hear our concerns. We have the strength to fix our problems and our strength is a powerful tool. That tool is to vote!

The Star-Telegram is reporting this TA was brought back to the membership for a vote as the mediator would not consider a release from negotiations were we not allowed to vote on an offer first.

If this is really the case, is there some reason the lovelies in charge of our so-called "representation" couldn't have simply said that to begin with rather than let people get all lathered up over the crappy TA and those who chose to bring it back contrary to what was promised?

People can handle the truth, even though painful, much easier than they will tolerate lies or lying by omission as seems to be standard operating procedure - it's an unfortunate thing our "leadership" hasn't learned this yet.

It's sad that we have had a member pass away some time ago with no death certificate issued. We the membership have bought tickets for the deceased members toolbox to aid this family in their time of need. This is the second membership meeting that there has been an oversight, and the family has not recieved our aid. But that toolbox looks good in the corner! Hope they didn't recieve the same comment I did in their time of sorrow.
