I did not give away my seat at the negotiating table. I’m still at the same table that Larry Pike, Jason Best, Mike Bush, Jay Sleeman and was Gary Peterson but now is Gary Schiable. I have been at that position since July 6th, 2015. We are on the negotiating committee for M&R. Ex International President Harry Lombardo along with top IAM exec’s formed an executive committee. I was never allowed on that committee. So if someone tells you I gave up my seat at the executive table that’s a lie.
Also I never agreed nor is it TA’d 50% outsourcing on AO only. I did support starting at 25% and moving to 40%. Manhours only not spend for AO. The IAM outsources 68-70% all in. We have components and engine protections in our proposal that as of now is agreed to by the company. If someone tells you I agreed to 50% outsourcing that again is a lie.
Also the only line mechanics in Tulsa are at the terminal. Line work is defined in the contract and if that work is performed by the base mechanics like at hangar 80 that is scheduled then you receive line pay. That work is then counted against the outsourcing numbers for the line.
