Notice to American Airlines of our intent to commence negotiations

To: TWU-IAM Association Membership:

Today the TWU-IAM Association has served notice to American Airlines of our intent to commence negotiations on all TWU-IAM Association Collective Bargaining Agreements.

This notice to commence ‘early opening’ negotiations was served in accordance with Article 3 of the respective Collective Bargaining Agreements and Section 6, Title 1 of the Railway Labor Act, as amended. The notice to American Airlines, according to Section 6, Title 1 of the Railway Labor Act, starts the clock on both American Airlines and the TWU-IAM Association to build negotiation schedules.

Further updates regarding the status of specific negotiations will be provided by the respective Fleet or M&R/MLS/MCT/MTS Negotiation Committees.
