Dear Sisters and Brothers,
The Members of your TWU/IAM Association Negotiating Committee representing M&R, MLS, MTS, and MCT have met again in ORD (July 16-18) this past week to finalize our preparations for the upcoming negotiations with American Airlines. We are also scheduled to meet this coming week (July 23-25) via Zoom to continue preparations. We have dedicated ourselves to fine-tuning the necessary articles to ensure that we are fully prepared to engage with the company at the bargaining table.
As previously indicated, those ‘early opener’ Section 6 negotiations are scheduled for August 13th and 14th at TWU Local 591 Headquarters in Grapevine Texas. Those early openers are seven months before the current amendable date for all four collective bargaining agreements.
We are grateful for your continued support and solidarity. With your backing, we are confident that we will be able to negotiate industry-leading M&R, MLS, MTS, and MCT agreements that will benefit all union members. Your active involvement and support are crucial as we move forward in these negotiations. We look forward to working together as a committee to achieve our common objective of industry leading collective bargaining agreements.
