With much heartfelt sadness we share with you the passing of retired Brother James Foreman on July 13th, 2024.
James started working at American Airlines in 1963 and retired from the position of Aviation Maintenance Technician in 1996.

James Arthur Foreman, Sr.
James Arthur Foreman, Sr. was born September 2, 1937 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the parents of Curtis Foreman Sr. and Liddie Beatrice (Wilson) Foreman . He was also raised by his grandparents John and Sylvia Foreman.
He graduated from Ardmore Douglass High in 1956. James and the former Melva Dean Mayes were married June 2, 1956, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. James and Melva moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1956. Around 1963 they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and have lived in the same home for over sixty years. In 1963 James started working for American Airlines, retiring after 33 years of service. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was the father of 5 generations. He loved spending time with his wife of 68 years, having celebrated their anniversary on June 2, 2024. James loved to do carpentry work and was a great Bar B.Q. Chef.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of 68 years, Melva Foreman; daughters, Cheryl (Raymond) Richardson, Annette (Chester) Woods and Carla Foreman; sons, James Foreman, Jr., Ruben (Merrilee) Foreman and Tommy Foreman; brother, Doyle (Selma) Foreman; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Itasca Washington, Leatrice Reagor and Cecilia Christopher; 4 brothers, Elmer, Clezell, Vernon and Curtis Foreman, Jr.
Home Going Services for James Arthur Foreman, Sr. will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 27th, 2024 in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Pastor Larry Wesley officiating. Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
