It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecil Horton, a dedicated Aviation Maintenance Technician and valued member of our union family. Cecil passed away on August 17, 2025.
Cecil began his career with American Airlines in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1987 and worked for over 26 years before retiring in 2013. During his time with the company, he demonstrated a strong commitment to his work and was a respected colleague among his peers.
Born on March 20, 1952, Cecil spent his life serving others through his profession and leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him. His dedication to the aviation industry and our union will not be forgotten.
We extend our deepest condolences to Cecil’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories of his life and legacy.
