
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and retired American Airlines Material Logistics Specialist Crew Chief, Gerald Reynolds. Gerald passed away on August 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service to our union family.
Gerald began his remarkable 40-year career with American Airlines in 1953, dedicating himself to the company and our union, Local 514, here in Tulsa. Over the years, he worked tirelessly as a Material Logistics Specialist Crew Chief, earning the respect and admiration of his peers. His commitment to excellence and teamwork was unwavering, and his contributions to our local will never be forgotten.
One notable achievement that stands out is Gerald’s impressive 19 years of perfect attendance, a testament to his reliability and dedication to his work. This feat is a rare accomplishment, and we are proud to have had him as a part of our team.
Born on March 11, 1935, Gerald lived a full and purposeful life, retiring from American Airlines in 1993 after four decades of service. Although he may be gone, his legacy lives on through the countless memories and stories shared by those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
