AMFA has horrible Scope protection for their members, the only real benefit of the language goes to the Company and the limited amount of M&R represented members the Company has to employ. With so much work allowed to be outsourced, AMFA not only has work performed in overhauls vendor facilities but in reality has almost zero restriction on who does work for them domestically. What Southwest entered into the Hawaiian market, AMFA immediately gave all their maintenance work over to vendors immediately, even though they said this would not allow this additional outsourcing to happen during their negotiations.
