This week, Jay Potter and I continued meeting with the Negotiation team. We are still discussing multiple articles in the MLS, MCT, M&R, and MTS contracts, and we will continue that work in the following weeks to complete them. Thank you to those members who took the time to submit proposed changes. Jay and I have them with us at every meeting. We review and discuss your proposals with the committee.
On Wednesday, May 1st, the Association sent American Airlines a notification letter requesting that negotiations start for all TWU/IAM Association-represented contracts. Please see my explanation video here.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
This week negotiation talks are going on with our union, Mister Jay Sleeman is the spokesman for the facilities maintenance group (FMG) and he is aware of the current language we have and is addressing the issues we have with our scope.
I have been working with our management and union on our grievances. Currently we have two that are going to this week’s GRB in DFW and those two represent several.
We are looking for volunteers to help with family day at Mohawk park, if you are interested in helping for a couple of days we could use you.

The National Letter Carriers Stamp out Hunger food drive will be held on the second Saturday in May. On May 11th set your food donations by your mailbox and your letter carrier will do the rest. Any amount of donations will be combined with others to reduce food insecurity across the country.

- Another bid posted late yesterday. Look to see if you will be affected by a shift change under 7 days’ notice from the posting. If your bid was changed from the previous postings, get with a Union Steward or a Manager and let them know you will want to stay in your current position for 7 days or waive the 7 day notice..
Article 14 par. J The regular starting and stopping time for all shifts and days off will be scheduled and posted at each station or facility and shall not be changed without seven (7) days notice to any employee affected by such change. Where there are Federal or State Daylight Saving laws, the hours may be changed to meet such laws.
- We continue to do amazing work in producing AC with a 90% on time rate or better.

Welfare and Entertainment
- Family Day June 1st, 2024. 10AM-7PM Food will be provided from 11-1 and 4-6. We will have Face Painters, Balloon Artists, Magic Shows, and more including admission to the Tulsa Zoo. The Event committee has been working hard to put things in place at Mohawk Park and the Tulsa Zoo.
You must register for the event to attend. Follow the registration link below.
Volunteers to help with the event. 2-to-3-hour sessions Ticket check in, handout bags, trash detail, cooking, serving food, drink station restock, shuttle service, inflatable check in, Tulsa Zoo check in, etc. Contact an E-Board member if you’re interested.
- Tulsa Oilers Football May 3th, Friday night.. Tickets will be available to be picked up at the Grievance office and the TWU Union Hall.
- Tulsa Drillers Baseball have 3 games this weekend May 3rd – May 5th. Tickets will be available to be picked up at the TWU Union Hall on Pine Street.
