Local 514’s Digest for the week of Jan 6, 2023

President:

I continue to work with Marla to prepare grievances to be submitted to Arbitration.  Currently we are asking the company for a date to arbitrate an old case revolved around the company moving inspection work to AMT.  The next case I want a date for is what I call “Dodge Ball”, where multiple Crew Chiefs in a location pick and choose what crew you are on on any given day.

Dale Danker

Vice President:

Happy New Year!

We are giving out the Christmas pullovers when we are available. The dates and times will be announced through the TWU 514 paging system. If you would like to receive text messages or emails go to TWU514.org and sign up to receive them.

Our main purpose is to work grievances. We are starting the new year focusing on resolving the backlog. Please be sure to provide the necessary information for arguing the contract violation.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:

American Airlines is the largest commercial airline in the world.

American Airlines Tulsa base is the largest civilian maintenance base in the world.

American Airlines Tulsa base does not have the largest facilities maintenance group in the AA system, much less the world.

  Not even close.

Anyone else see an issue here ?

    • Budgeted headcount 308
    • Current headcount 304
    • Current out on LTD 13

Passwords

We all know what a pain it is keeping track of our passwords. Since the “Tech Age” we have not come up with another way to keep your information safe. I for one have seen way too many breaches of data, user’s information is being passed around to the highest bidder.

Please make an effort to change all your passwords on a regular basis.
