The Passing of Brother Charles Salazar

A memorial for Charles will be at The Tulsa Air And Space Museum on Saturday, July 10th @ 5pm.

We are saddened to share with you the passing of Brother Charles Salazar.

Charles had been with us here in Tulsa since 2010 as a Material Logistics Specialist.

Charles Gilbert Salazar was born December 2, 1954 in Columbus, IN, to Gilbert and Vona Salazar. He passed from this life on January 18, 2021.

Chuck and his wife LaBlenda Phelps Salazar were married on November 4, 1973. They have been a part of the Sand Springs community since 1981 where they raised their two children. Chuck’s interest and hobbies included sports card collecting with his son, flea markets, leather crafting and muscle cars. He was an IH Scout enthusiast and had a love for the aerospace industry through his tenure with American Airlines where he could be seen in his forklift around the hangers taking amazing pictures of our Oklahoma sunsets.

He is survived by his wife, LaBlenda; daughter, Brandie Varner (Brian) of Oklahoma; son, Wesley Salazar (Heather) of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Dalton Farrow (Chelsey) of Oklahoma, Taylor Varner of Oklahoma, Jaiden Salazar of Oklahoma, Jeht Salazar of Oklahoma; and great grandchild (Dalton and Chelsey) expected in August; siblings, Jerry Salazar (Mary) Arizona, Susie Dossett (Tony) Indiana, Anita MacMillan (Sean) California, Sonjia Fout (JT) Kentucky, Renee Tietloff, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
