The Passing of Brother Dalton Edwards

Obituary for Dalton Edwards

A private family-only service will be held on Wednesday, April 15 followed by burial at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date after the virus restrictions are lifted.

Dalton was born to Grady and Velma (Beaver) Edwards on Thursday, September 30, 1926 in Oktaha, Oklahoma. Dalton passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Claremore after a short illness.

Dalton was a huge Oklahoma Sooner fan who didn’t miss a home game for many years. As a young man he sang in a country western band and enjoyed traditional country music. He loved classic cars, restoring and working on them in his spare time. He was a gun collector and really enjoyed his time at the range. He spent many hours going to flea markets and collected quite an array of treasures over the years. Dalton was a proud member of the NRA and was very patriotic as a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Dalton was a Master Aircraft Mechanic and worked at American Airlines for 31 years until his retirement and spent several years constructing pipelines across the country prior to joining American.

Dalton was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Velma Beaver Edwards.
