The Passing of Brother Scott Bornak

We are deeply saddened to share with you the passing of Brother Scott Paul Bornak, 56, he passed on Wednesday, July 6.

Scott had been with us at American Airlines since 1990 and was a Crew Chief Aviation Maintenance Technician and Navy veteran.

Obituary for Scott Paul Bornak

Scott Paul Bornak was born September 6, 1965 in Homestead, Pennsylvania. “Scotty” passed on July 6, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His religious affiliation was Roman Catholic.

Scotty graduated 1983 from West Mifflin high school and entered Pittsburgh Institute of aeronautics and graduated with an associate degree. He then entered The United States Navy. There he completed a four year term and then began his employment with American Airlines. In 2007 Scotty received an award Best mechanic of the year and continue to excel to become Avionics Crew Chief.

Scotty was passionate about model trains and planes as well as attending The Blue Angels air show. Scotty like traveling back home to Pittsburgh, PA. and Melmar, California. He doted on his five grandchildren with shopping trips, feeding them pizza and any wish they had! Scotty(Pawley Ollie) was extremely proud of the careers his stepson?s had in Trucking and as a Master Collision Specialist.

Scotty was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents. Mike J. and Helen Bornak, maternal grandparents Paul and Irene Majkowski.

Scotty is survived by his loving wife, Kemberle Bornak. Two step sons and their wives, Bryan and Alisha Carbaugh and Dylan and Shelbey Robertson. Five grand children, Sydney, Ashton, Tayson, Bella,and Landon Carbaugh of Tulsa Oklahoma. Along with his favorite side kick his Labrador retriever “Hunter bo”. His parents, Michael P. and Patricia R. Bornak of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. His two brothers and their wives, Michael D. and Jackie Bornak, Gary and Michaeleen Bornak. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews as well as three great nephews. Along with a host of friends and acquaintances.

Funeral services are on 2:30 PM, July 11, 2022 at Moore’s Southlawn chapel. Viewing after services, then returning to his home state of Pennsylvania for his final resting.
