We are saddened to share that our retried Brother Jerry Brewer passed away on March 20, 2026.
Jerry began his career with American Airlines in 1968, dedicating 36 years of service before retiring in 2004 as a Fleet Service Clerk. His steady hand, unwavering work ethic, and warm presence were a source of pride for all of us at Local 514.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jerry was a devoted family man—the uncle of Local 514 member, Drek Dewar—and a valued member of our union family. His contributions to the airline and to the union will be remembered by all who had the privilege to work alongside him.
Please keep the Brewer family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Our Grandpa was a Legend and Loved by anyone who met him. He always made sure everyone was taken care of. He’s in Heaven now with his Wife and Daughter dancing with a beer in his hand.
He worked “decades” for American Airlines and retired in the early 2000’s, shortly after his wife passed”
Per his request there will be no funeral or any kind of service. He wanted cremated and his ashes spread over our mom & grandma. He was 83 years old. Still the life of the party at 80yrs old. Til dementia took it all away. Now he is resting in peace with his whole family. Will be truly missed by All 5 of his grandchildren. He had 8 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren.
