We are saddened to share with you the passing of retired Brother John Murawski.
John started with American Airlines back in 1972. He started as a AMT, and was Crew Chief for many years.

John J. Murawski, 81, of Claremore passed away Friday, December 18, 2020.
He was born in Kinde, Michigan, on November 24, 1939, to Leo and Agnes Murawski as the fourth of nine children. He graduated from Kinde High School in 1957. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the United States Navy. After basic training he was stationed in California where he met Peggy Boldyga, who was a registered nurse at a nearby Stanford Palo Alto Hospital. John and Peggy were married January 5, 1963. That same year the couple was transferred to Gross Ile, Michigan, where they welcomed their daughter, Nancy. The following year, they welcomed son, David. He finished his Naval term in 1970, and began his career in aviation as an airline mechanic at Universal Airlines. In 1972, they welcomed their third child, Beth. Given new opportunity within American Airlines, John transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to work at the airline maintenance facility, and chose to set up his personal residency Claremore. The family followed in June of 1980. The couple has lived here since. In 1994, John was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease. in 1999, he removed had both kidneys removed followed by two years of dialysis while he remained on the transplant list. In 2001, his younger brother, Leonard, came down from Michigan to donate one of his kidneys, giving john nineteen more years. John went back to work after the transplant. He retired in 2002 as a Crew Chief. He enjoyed an active retirement until he very recently had health issues.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy; daughter Nancy Massey; son, David Murawski and wife Janis; daughter, Beth Reynolds and husband Curtis. Grandchildren, LaDawn, Lauren, Meagan, Kris, Nick, Sarah, CJ, Makenzie, Savannah, and Bella. He also has14great-grandchildren, including Alex, who shared a very special relationship with John. He is also survived by his brother Edward and wife Sharon; sister Mary and husband Jim; brother Dick and wife Linda; brother Leonard and wife Kathy; brother Bill and fiance, Jan, along with countless nieces and nephews.
