The Passing of Retired Brother John Claybaugh

We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2021, at the age of 89, John Freely Claybaugh (Tulsa, Oklahoma) passed away.

Brother John retired back in 1991, He worked as Plant Maintenance Mechanic here in Tulsa.

Obituary for John Freely Claybaugh

John Freely Claybaugh  Born August 19, 1931, passed away on August 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Claybaugh (Zehren). He is survived by his children and spouses: Earl and Marguerite Claybaugh; Paula and Joe Baughn; Cathy and Dean Nistetter; Beth and Joel Turner; and Rick and Marisa Claybaugh. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and their spouses, 23 great grandchildren, sister, Emma Nichols, brother-in-law, Walt Horton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister’s, Marnie Harrington and Doris Horton, and his brother, Dick Claybaugh. John was a native Tulsan, member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a friend of Bill W. The Rosary will be held at Moore’s Eastlawn Funeral Home on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial at Calvary Cemetery following the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Pius X School.
