Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO Opposes DOJ’s Attempt to Block Merger

The Transportation Trades Department (TTD), is telling Attorney General Eric Holder to stop blocking the American-US Airways merger.  Edward Wytkind, President of the TTD told Holder:

Your actions run counter to the interests of employees at these two air carriers . . . we urge the Department of Justice to reconsider its recent filing and to allow the merger of American Airlines and US Airway to proceed.

The TTD represents several million workers in the transportation industry and provides a strong united voice for its 33 member unions.

Next week, before Labor Day, we will deliver our petition to Attorney General Eric Holder.  Hurry and add your signature today!
