TULSA 66ERS, TULSA TRANSPORT WORKERS UNION SERVE THANKSGIVING FEAST

TULSA, Okla., November 17, 2011
Members of the Tulsa 66ers front office partnered up with the Tulsa Transport Workers Union Thursday to volunteer at the annual Tulsa Dream Center Thanksgiving Feast, helping serve hot meals to hundreds of Tulsa citizens in need.

“We really enjoyed teaming up with the Tulsa 66ers today,” Local 514 member Anna Marie Pittman said. “It is always a joy to help serve the community.”

The 66ers are committed to creating programs and partnerships that have significant impacts on the Tulsa community.

“The Tulsa Dream Center put on a beautiful Thanksgiving outreach,” said Pastor Wendell Hope, Director of the Tulsa Dream Center. “We had well over 600 people attend and we served them a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. It was a tremendous day with a lot of grateful people.”

The Tulsa Dream Center believes it takes passionate partners from around the community to help care for and feed the needy.

“Today is what it is all about, a time of thanksgiving,” Hope said. “On behalf of the Tulsa Dream Center, we want to thank all the volunteers from the Tulsa 66ers organization and Tulsa Transport Workers Union for joining us on this great day.”
