Local 514 Digest for the Week of March 11th, 2022

Grievance Process

We are actively trying to get arbitration dates set with the company to handle cases both from the old contract and the current CBA. We also have termination cases that will require an area board date.

I will give updates as the company complies with us.

I know there is a backlog grievance cases that are long overdue that are set for arbitration, I am hopeful with the Internationals help, we will get some arbitration dates set and move forward with these cases.

Questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

TSA Statement regarding face mask use on public transportation

    Thursday, March 10, 2022

At CDC’s recommendation, TSA will extend the security directive for mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs for one month, through April 18th.

During that time, CDC will work with government agencies to help inform a revised policy framework for when, and under what circumstances, masks should be required in the public transportation corridor. This revised framework will be based on the COVID-19 community levels, risk of new variants, national data, and the latest science. We will communicate any updates publicly if and/or when they change.
