After a two-year hiatus, the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) was back in action, on April 25-28, 2022, American Airlines sent six company teams and three student teams to Dallas, TX, to compete in a variety of aviation maintenance challenges.
After two full days of intense competition, the 2022 Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) closed today with an award ceremony honoring the student, military, maintenance repair overhaul (MRO) and commercial aviation teams who gave it their all.
In the overall MRO category, American Airlines made it to the podium – twice! Team Tulsa placed second and the DWH Air Raiders placed third.
“Congratulations to our Tulsa team. Tulsa is one of our largest operations in the organization, and we have some of the finest mechanics standing here right now.”
One of the student teams sponsored by American also ranked at the top of their class. Many team members at American devote countless hours of their own time to mentoring students in aviation maintenance, including the overall School category first place winners, the Tulsa Tech Adult Student Program.
