Oklahoma Insurance Department and CVS Caremark

This past weekend, many of us received a letter from CVS pertaining to the 90 day mail order prescriptions. “You no longer have a mail service benefit”

The letter stated that you will only be able to fill up to a 30 day supply at a participating, in-network retail pharmacy’s.

Patient’s Right to Pharmacy Choice Act 

 Oklahoma House Bill NO. 2632  Section 6 paragraph  E

 
 An individual’s choice of in-network provider may include a retail pharmacy or a mail-order pharmacy. A health insurer or PBM shall not restrict such choice. Such health insurer or PBM shall not require or incentivize using any discounts in cost-sharing or a reduction in copay or the number of copays to individuals to receive  prescription drugs from an individual’s choice of in-network pharmacy.
