Local 514’s Digest for the week of May 30, 2025

TWU Local 514

President:

Jay Potter, Don McCormick, Joe Brown, George Albano, and I have completed 95% of the Crew Chief interviews in 5 and 6, along with several Crew members. We will now move to Hangars 1,2 and 3 in the coming weeks. Simply put, I need to know what you all want me to try to straighten out using mediation as it pertains to what the electronic bid looks like for the Crews and the Crew Chiefs. If you have ideas about what you would like to see us ask for, please let me know.

I can visit you in any area on any shift, or you can reach out to me 24/7 at 918-636-6089.

Also, to those who get tired at work. Please do not sleep. I have been extremely tired at work in my career, and yes, I’ve closed my eyes and fallen asleep, and yes, management has woken me up. It’s definitely not the same AA as it was back years ago. If you’re tired, please drink lots of water and walk around. Also, if you’re a swapper, it’s your responsibility to know who your partner works for and to report to that Crew Chief. Sometimes the Chiefs don’t know you, so when the supervisors ask the Chiefs where you are and they don’t know, guess what happens? They start searching for you, and that’s when guys who are tired and are resting in the “out of sight areas” get found sleeping. Do everyone a favor and report to the Crew Chief that your swap partner works for.

Take care,

Dale Danker

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:

Happy Friday all

Facilities has decided to install cameras on the base utilities building, primarily facing our substation. Although this is probably a good idea for security issues, it is something to be aware of.

On this subject most of you know I have summoned our management in charge of the camera installations about sharing all information to the placement of these cameras, I have yet to receive anything detailing these installations and therefore I believe the company is violating LOM 3 in our current CBA obviously I will seek further clarification and instructions from our President Dale Danker, but I am in favor of filing a grievance on this issue…. More to come.

Did you know that if you install security systems in the state of Oklahoma, you must possess a CCTV license?

Yes we have this licensed Personnel on base, but are the contractors that are currently installing the new security systems licensed …..we shall see.

  • Current headcount 318
  • Budgeted headcount 316
  • Headcount on Loa 8
  • Actual Headcount 310
