
We are deeply saddened to share that our brother, Michael Kearney, passed away on September 16, 2025 at 28years old. Michael joined the American Airlines maintenance family in 2019 as an Aviation Maintenance Technician and quickly became an integral part of our crew. His dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to safety earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and supervisors alike.
Michael’s warm spirit, willingness to help a fellow worker, and his love for aviation will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of working with him. He exemplified the true meaning of brotherhood, always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer guidance when needed. His legacy will live on in the work he did and the lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Brother Michael.

Public Viewing / Memorial Service
A public viewing will be held at Reed – Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah, OK on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. All of Michael’s fellow coworkers, friends, and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.

April 3, 1997 – September 16, 2025
Michael Kearney was a beloved partner, son, brother, and friend. He was born in Hopkinton, NY on April 3, 1997 and unexpectedly passed away on September 16, 2025 in Oolagah, OK at the young age of 28.
Michael grew up in Hopkinton, NY and was a 2015 graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton Central School. He later continued his education through Mohawk Valley Community College in Rome, NY and Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, OK.
Michael has been working at American Airlines in Tulsa, OK since 2019. He was a clever mechanic that enjoyed fixing everything. He was specifically known for his remote control toolbox that he created from scratch. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, dirt biking, and spending time with his dog Chuck.
Michael is survived by his loving partner of 8 years, Caitlin Dunning, his parents, Jennifer and Jeff Kearney, and his ten siblings.
A public viewing will be held at Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah, OK on Tuesday, September 23rd from 1pm to 5pm for all of Michael’s fellow coworkers and friends. Then his body will be transported home where Garner Funeral Service will host a public ceremony tentatively on Friday, September 26th starting at 11am for anyone that wishes to attend. A graveside service will follow the ceremony where Michael’s body will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery, located on Route 72 in Parishville, NY.
