Our hearts are heavy with sadness as we announce the passing of Charles Hatley, on December 29th, 2025.
Charles started his journey with American Airlines in 1996 as a Building Cleaner, and over the years, he worked his way up to become an Aviation Maintenance Technician. He held various positions within the company, including Aircraft Cleaner, Parts Washer, Overhaul Support Mechanic, before achieving his dream of becoming a full-fledged Aviation Maintenance Technician in 2019.
Throughout his career, Charles demonstrated unwavering dedication, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. His commitment to our Union and American Airlines was evident in every aspect of his work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his colleagues, friends, and family.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Hatley family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the love and support of their community and may Charles’ memory bring them peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they celebrate his life and legacy.
Rest in peace, Charles. You will never be forgotten.
