It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved retired brother, Bertran “Sonny” McClellan, on July 15th, 2026.
Sonny began his journey with American Airlines in 1986 as a Stock Clerk, working tirelessly to serve our airline for nearly two decades. His dedication and hard work earned him a well-deserved retirement in 2004.
As we mourn the loss of our brother, we also take comfort in the memories and legacy he leaves behind. We remember his kindness, his sense of humor, and his unwavering commitment to our union family.
We extend our deepest condolences to Sonny’s loving family, particularly his loved ones who were closest to him during his final days. May they find solace in the knowledge that their brother was loved, cherished, and remembered by all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Brother McClellan. Your memory will be cherished forever.
