Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
Weeks seem to fly lately, we have had so much going on, we posted five open positions in our group this last week and we still have more to go.
TMA is very important to the survival of the facilities group and management is still conducting coach and council meetings for those who are not appropriately documenting their time.
We have had some mix up in upgrades and parallel movement in the paint shop that we will get corrected, the recent clarification of the extension of our contract had several clarification changes that left incorrect movement language in our group, we got our international union representative involved and we are currently rectifying these issues.
Safety is another hot topic the past several months, expect your current guidelines to change and also begin to be better enforced base wide in all groups including ours.
Last Wednesday at 4:56pm my youngest daughter Paige and her husband Tanner had my newest grandson “Sunny James Heflin” and he is yet another reason I fight so hard to keep our jobs as pristine and as safe as possible, I want him to have the ability, if he so chooses, to work at American Airlines.
