Vice President:

I participated in the FACES (Female AMT’s Connecting for Empowerment and Support) event at headquarters this week. It’s a great opportunity to network with women from around the system. I encourage all women to take the opportunity to participate in the future.
The grievance committee continues to work on grievances. Work with the Union Stewards in your area if you have questions.
Benefit counselors will be available to assist with enrollment starting Monday the 16th. They will be in hangars 3 & 4 upstairs near the town hall room.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:
We continue working on grievances, this is a huge undertaking that takes a lot of time to research and process but rest assured the task is being addressed.
We also continue to attend the supervisor meetings with tech crew chiefs and management there is a lot of useful information harvested from these conversations.
Help is not only appreciated it is desperately needed we need safety auditors, chemical auditors and union representatives in nearly every area, that will not only volunteer but will get engaged, a union is just that, “The action or fact of joining or being joined” We aren’t anything without you.
Heads up we are hiring keep eyes on the bids and transfer list in the upcoming weeks.

Myself and George are gearing up for this year’s annual enrollment. There are not very many changes in policies and coverage. I strongly encourage everyone to log into Jetnet and review your benefit coverage in case you missed something last year. There will be insurance counselors available again this year to answer questions you may have located in hangar 3&4 HOC and at the hall by appointment.

Continue working as normal. I want to thank the shop stewards that have provided more evidence to make the cases stronger. Remember to file yor grievance within time limits.
