Local 514’s Digest for the week of October 25, 2024

President:

I want to thank MCT Chairman Jason Best for working with the company to reach a settlement on a Presidential grievance from 2018. The grievance was centered around the company moving Inspection work. We will now have a tech crew chief oversee a portion of the CMM duties. This is a win for the TWU.

Please vote yes or no for the economic extension. If everyone votes, that will help determine where the issues are or are not.

While I applaud any crew chief who invests the extra time to help his or her crew to be better educated on their job assignments, it absolutely can not extend that individual’s trial period.

As always I’m available 24/7 at 918-636-6089.

Hope to see everyone at the adult party Nov,2.

Take care,

Dale Danker

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:

This month I’ve attended all of my scheduled standing meetings, I’ve also worked on grievances and attended two 32j meetings concerning attendance.

I had several meetings this month with Ed Sangricco about Sam Neal’s vacant senior manager position and his replacement, I’m pleased to announce he has chose Richard Lyon for that position, my new concern will be the manager over engineering that Richard vacated, until then Richard will be filling both positions until his replacement is chosen.

I’ve met with most of our tech crew chiefs over the issues we are having with the contractors and I’m hopeful they will insist on better craftsmanship from our vendors.

Finally our electrical tech crew chief will be going out on a LOA and we are trying to get management to fill his position temporarily while he does, the logistics of this may make it impossible to do .

  • Budgeted headcount 316
  • Current headcount 318
  • Headcount on LOA 9
  • Actual Headcount 309

As always feel free to contact me at anytime

This number is for the Grievances assigned to me with 90% being in Hgr 5/6.  This number has been changing due to the movement of grievances from one officer to another to get more aligned with the areas they represent.
