TWU hosted the TWU Working Women’s Committee International meeting this week. There were women from all over the country who came to learn and grow. We discussed work ergonomics, public speaking, Alzheimer’s, and how it affects women. We also learned about the Native American culture and history.

Chairman of Facilities Maintenance:

The Facilities Group has new construction across the Tulsa base and system, which is great news for everyone; after more than  12 years, AA has finally added headcount to our group’s budget (Tulsa FMG ), and although this addition is not nearly enough to keep up with existing demand, much less the demands of new equipment, it is a step in the right direction, rest assured your union is actively seeking ways to increase even the new budgeted headcount.

Volunteers are still needed as union representatives and in your shops in safety and chemical coordinators. Don’t be afraid to step up and help, please.

  • Budgeted headcount 316
  • Current headcount 310
  • Headcount on LOA 9
  • Actual headcount on base 301

As always, feel free to call me at any time.
