President:
All,
Monday three of our guys were injured lowering the 777 in dock 6A. We are all thankful they did not lose their lives. Please be aware of your work area and what is going on around you at all times. If something feels unsafe please stop and reassess the situation.
This week I have had several conversations with the company and yes once again the company is making drastic changes to the bid sheets for January. This time it is the AO hangars. Plus hangars 5 and 6 will be split using 9ff. This will be the 15 bid since our contract in March of 2020 and it marks the 14 time there has been a drastic change. In my 37 years at American Airlines the only consistency has been change. Please do the best you can by working with your fellow workers and your crew chief for the day to be as productive as possible. Always check the computer and make sure your paycheck is not screwed up and always sign up for OT if you want to make more money. The inconsistency always seems to help pad our wallets.
Hope to see you at the TWU Adult Party tomorrow night at the Hard Rock.
As always I can be reached 24/7 at 918-636-6089. If you would like for me to visit your work area please contact me and I will adjust my schedule to stop by your work area on your shift.
Take care,

Don McCormick:
This week has been a crazy one. Seems like there is a full moon out right now with all the confrontations and accidents happening at work. Please be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow Union members.
Benefits has been the priority this week. Make sure you go see the counselors today or next week M-F beside the town hall in Hgr 3. They will be leaving November 8th.
Grievances have been slow this week with everything else going on. They will be processed and moved next week as the top priority.
HGR 5/6
- 777 shoring fell on 3 fellow union members. 2 were critically injured and will be out for a few weeks. The other one is sore as can be when 615 pounds lands on top of you. Be mindful of the surroundings and call out anything you see that is a safety concern.
- Splitting the Bid unit, the company wants your selections to be turned in today by 4.
Bid unit 257 will be the 2 737 Heavy checks in 5C and 5D
Bid unit 263 will be the 787 Heavy check starting Jan 5th with the SV and DI lines
Welfare and Entertainment.
- Adult Party Saturday night at the Hard Rock. Registration is closed. We hope to see all that planned to attend there from 6-12PM
- Tulsa Oilers Hockey – Tickets available in the grievance office and the Union Hall.
