Re: Mechanic & Related Term Sheet – Title II adjustments
Dear Robert,
During the final hours of discussion leading up to the Mechanics & Related best and final offer on April 26, 2012, changes were discussed between the parties that modified the term sheet, specifically for Title II positions in AFW and TUL. These changes were not reflected in the final document. Below please find the updated terms that are included in the final best offer:
- Modify Article 1 to permit the outsourcing of the following Title II work:
- Outsource all cabin cleaning, eliminate Cabin Cleaner classification.
- Outsource all existing building cleaner work, and eliminate Building Cleaner classification.
- Outsource High Voltage (13500 and above) Electrical Maintenance at Bases.
- To achieve a 17% mechanic reduction in force within Title II at the Tulsa Maintenance Base the anticipated reduction, by skill would be:
Painters Four (4)
Electricians Eight (8)
Electronics Four (4)
Plumbers Eight (8)
Millwrights Ten (10)
Welders One (1)
Carpenters Four (4)
SOE’s Seven (7)
Automotive Five (5)
Total Fifty-One (51)
- Central Plant Operation and Maintenance at TULE will consist of 20 Plant Maintenance Mechanics and 20 Plant Maintenance Men.
- Qualifications for TAESL (TAESL operations, CUP, IWTP, Haz waste) will be PM92. The support for TAESL will consist of 2 Plant Maintenance Mechanic Crew Chiefs, 28 Plant Maintenance Mechanics, There will be no GSE support.
Outsource concrete, fencing, and major carpentry projects at TULE.
- All Ground Service Equipment work on non-powered equipment at DAS Stations, to be done by PMM, provided PMM scope includes welding and use of cutting torch. Non-powered work performed by Line Maintenance will be outsourced.
