It is with great pride that I receive this information today . I welcome the transition of John Samuelson to President of the Transport Workers Union International. President Samuelson has fought hard for labor and won at a local of over 42,000 members strong this will only strengthen our position in our current negotiations. We wish Harry the best.
These negotiations have gone on far too long and I can now look forward with a renewed vigor in this fight for an Industry Leading Contract. Safety on the job, Dignity at the Workplace and a Living Wage. These look to be much closer now, to our future.
I will be meeting with John this week in Vegas to reassert our needs and concerns about current contract negotiations with AA.
