Dear TWU Member,
I am pleased to tell you that American Airlines plans to recall a number of AMT’s here in Tulsa. There is also a need for 50 aircraft cleaners and some parts washers. If you are interested in putting in a transfer from lay-off, now is the time. (Note: There is a 15-day window starting on the day of input.)
If you resigned with recall rights under Article 14(b), you will not be able to put in a transfer from layoff, however you may apply as a new hire.
How to put in a Transfer while on Lay-off Status:
Send an e-mail to talent.services@aa.com with your name and employee number and state that you are a laid-off employee and want to put in for a 12(m) transfer. List where the transfer is (Tulsa) and what position (such as A/C cleaner). State if you want a full-time or part-time position. Title I only has full-time available but you still have to list it.
Example: My name is John Doe, Employee No. 123456, and I am currently a laid-off OSM with recall rights to Tulsa. I would like to put in for a 12m Transfer to the full-time position of A/C cleaner in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My contact phone is 999-999-9999″

American will send a response via email that your request was received and you are placed on the transfer list. Make a hard copy, if possible, and send a copy to the union hall as a backup. Our address is 11945 East Pine Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74116.
