Local 514 Digest for the Week of April 9th, 2021

Update: What is the Union going to do?

Watch this short video of President Dale Danker on the topic of “What is the Union going to do?”

We met Thursday April 8th as a board to review the posted bid sheets for the May 2021 Re-bid period. We have identified what we believe to be several contractual violations. I will begin the process of filing 33 B Presidential Grievances on your behalf.

If you are in an area that this does not affect, Please understand that if we do not react as a unified group against this it may be your area that will be harmed next.

I am also hearing rumors that I hope are not true, possibly some Crew Chiefs have expressed their desire to play dodgeball and pick their crew. That was not our position in negotiations, this type of mentality will destroy all our efforts. If they exist, Expose all “Company Crew Chiefs” until there are only Union Crew Chiefs.

Question: Do the letters AA now stand for Average Airline?

We used to be the leader, but our leadership has lost their way now we follow mediocracy and they wonder why we cannot achieve excellence. I am curious, since they won’t learn from history when they implement previous failed plans, and if they fail again, Who will they blame, you and I?

All of us are the Union,

Dale Danker
President

Membership Meetings

TWU Officers have been keeping track of the Mask Mandate and the CDC Guidelines on COVID-19. If Tulsa does NOT prolong the mandate, the mask mandate will end April 30th, 2021. We are looking forward to holding the regular TWU 514 Union Meetings again, beginning in May 2021. It will be announced so our members will know when the meetings begin again.

Thank you,
