Local 514 Digest for the Week of January 31, 2020

Negotiations:

As you may know by now, we have received Agreements in Principle from our Negotiators.

The brief highlights are posted on our website.

We are fielding as many questions as we can, the truth is that we have only had the same amount of time to review the “Highlights” as you have. We were only given “Highlights”.  It is understood that they are verifying the final language so that it can be posted to our site and sent to your home address.

Bankruptcy Grievance Payout:

We have no details on the date that the company will finalize the payout on our bankruptcy grievances. When they nail down a date, we will be sure to notify those involved.

Bad Weather?

American Airlines M&E Transportation Emergency Policy

Company-declared transportation emergencies will not count against your attendance record, but you are still responsible for calling in if you expect to be late or absent. If you are unable to report to work, local management has the discretion to consider other flexible options such as vacation in lieu of unpaid lost time hours. These may be granted based on operational needs within the station or office.

T-Shirt Update

The t-shirts are still in the process of being delivered to the printer. Now I am being told we should have them in March. I will announce on TWU514.org when they are in. At that time I will have 2 days that I will hand them out.

After that they will be mailed to your address we have on file.
