Recently, a small number of employees received a letter from MetLife stating that their payroll deductions for Hyatt Legal, Long-term Care, Auto or Home insurance coverage would increase for the month of February.
MetLife sent these letters in error and is working hard to fix the problem and to ensure this does not happen again. The letter stated the premium had not been paid in January. This is incorrect.
Employees should be assured that no lapse or break in coverage for any of these programs has occurred. Also, this error is not connected in any way to American’s Chapter 11 filing.We apologize for any confusion the misstatement may have caused. Employees do not need to take any action.
