As most of you know we are looking at September 12, 2012 as the date our M&R and Stores agreements are approved by the court. We have been waiting for the Company to finalize their ‘transition’ plan – so we can identify the actual timeline for the movement of work to TUL and DWH and the work scheduled to go to outside vendors. Along with the timeline for implementing work rule changes etc. The company is still finalizing that transition plan for M&R and we should be getting it to disseminate tomorrow or Friday. (we should get Stores transition plan next week)
With the scheduled date of September 12, 2012 the approval date for the court, and assuming the judge approves the agreement that date- it will also be our DOS date and the effective date of the agreement. That will initiate a lot of provisions of the contract, aside from the compensation changes, work rule changes, QAM etc. we have the provisions that have required time frames to be implemented e.g. the FT and OT guidelines for the Class I stations written, gain sharing language written for Base-Line and Title II etc. As soon as we get a schedule lined out for those meetings I will send out invites to the guys involved with those meetings.
Another item that we need to get done is validating the recall lists for each station, I will be sending out each station (that has them) recall lists to each local President tomorrow or Friday. I need you to go through them and make sure there aren’t any errors. I know we will be adding more folks to these lists due to the upcoming RIF’s, but we still need to get this done now and then we will update the recall lists after the RIF.
We have a scheduled RIF meeting next Wednesday in DFW – I will send out a meeting invite to the guys involved with the RIF tomorrow – when we get the time and location.
The M&R early out letter is attached. The sign up period is September 4- 25, the Company will have the Early Out sign up on jet net next week on Monday September 3rd. Our members interested in the early out will need to put their names on the list prior to September 25, 2012.
Also if a member puts their name on the Early Out list and they want it removed (revoked) they must present a signed revocation letter (which will be available on jet net) to their manager no later than 1700 CST September 30, 2012. The exit dates for the majority of the early outs will be during the 4th quarter this year and the 1stquarter next year. There will be a some additional exit dates in 2nd and 3rd quarter 2013- but remember management can move those dates – based on the operational requirements.
Lastly the contract language was taken down off the website while our brothers and sisters at American Eagle were voting on their agreements (it was causing confusion), we have them placed back on the site at http://www.twubkfacts.org/ and we also added for reference the questions and answers for the contract changes, early out and benefits. If you go to the site there is a tab at the top (2012 CBA’s) click on it and then select the CBA or the Q&A. Please notify your members of this information.
Will follow up when as information comes in.
