For twenty two years, Oklahoma native, MSgt Tom Garrett has put himself in harm’s way for his country. He and his family have sacrificed for years going above and beyond whenever he was called into action, and they have done so selflessly and without thought of personal gain. MSgt Tom Garrett is a hero. But, this hero is facing the toughest enemy he has ever had to face. His enemy is silent, ruthless, and strikes without warning showing no mercy. His enemy is called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease…and the clock is ticking. He doesn’t wonder if this silent killer will attack, it will. He just doesn’t know when. He has fought the hard fight for you, your family, and his country… now he is fighting for his life.
Proceeds from this tournament will be used to build a handicap accessible home for this hometown hero. Soon, Tom will be in a wheelchair and in his current house, he simply won’t be able to maneuver and remodeling is not an option according to architects.
