Nominations

Nominations for the Offices of : President, First Vice President, Financial Secretary- Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Second Vice President (Chairman of Maintenance), Third Vice President (Chairman of Material Logistic Specialists), Fourth Vice President (Chairman of Plant Maintenance) Fifth Vice President (Chairman of Maintenance Control Technicians), Six (6) Executive Board Members at Large, Fourteen (14) Convention Delegates, Eight (8) Sergeants at Arms, will be accepted from the floor at the Joint Membership/Shop Steward meeting at the date, time and place indicated below. Nominations will also be accepted in writing at the Union Hall no later than 3:30 pm, May 16, 2016. The term of office will run beginning July 25, 2016 through July 29, 2019.

As provided in the TWU, Local 514 By-laws, any member who has paid dues through January 2016 and in good standing is eligible to nominate candidates and run for office. A candidate declining nomination must do so in writing/email to Sallan@twu514.org or at the meeting no later than 3:30 pm on June 1, 2016.

Election (Ballot Counting)

The TWU, Local 514 General Election will be conducted on July 18, 2016. Ballots will be mailed to the last known address of members in good standing by June 10, 2016. The voted ballots must be received at the US Post Office, 5313 East Independence, Tulsa, OK., PO Box 580069 by 9am on July 18, 2016. For a ballot to be counted it must be returned in the supplied return envelope. This will not reveal how the member votes because the return envelope is separated from the ballot envelope before it is opened. Members are urged to follow voting instructions to ensure their ballot is not voided.

Replacement Ballots: In the event a member does not receive a Ballot by mail by June 17, 2016 or his/her Ballot is misplaced or damaged, a Replacement Ballot may be obtained by contacting TrueBallot. A toll-free hot line will answer calls at 1-888-513-5128. Replacement ballots will be sent out within 24 hours.
