The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently recommended a recall of Blumen clear advanced hand sanitizer with 70% alcohol due to the product testing positive for methanol contamination. The FDA has advised consumers not to use this hand sanitizer. 4E Brands North America, based out of San Antonio, has issued a recalled on several of their Blumen hand sanitizers.
Again, it has tested positive for methanol, which can be poisonous if absorbed through the skin and potentially fatal if ingested. This was one product ordered and was sent to American Airlines base in Tulsa.
MOST of these have been turned in – please check your areas for this and send to Shipping for them to add to the quarantine product. Contact your Supervisor if you find one and turn in to them. The union was made aware of this today from one of our MLS Crew Chiefs on the base.
