The Passing of Brother John Simpson

It is with great sadness we share with you the passing of Brother John Simpson.

John Simpson 65, of Claremore, went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
John was born August 15, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ralph and Glenda Simpson. He graduated from Memorial High School. He was employed by American Airlines as a facility maintenance plumber for almost 40 years.
John met and later married the love of his life Victoria Kay. They recently celebrated 46 years of marriage. They built a life together some only dream about. He was a devoted family man of Christian faith.
John enjoyed in his spare time spending time with his kids and grand kids, watching baseball, hunting and working with his hands.
John had an amazing and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand without hesitation. John was the epitome of the perfect husband and father. He was an honorable, honest, hardworking, dependable man. He was our Hero. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife: Victoria Simpson; children: Miranda and Lance Byford of Bixby, OK, Gerrit and Jody Simpson of Claremore, and Curt and Chelsea Simpson of Claremore; grandchildren: Christian, Caleb, Faith, and Hope Byford, Xander Glover, Brooklyn, Bradley, Corbin, Cashton and Carley Simpson; brothers: Danny Simpson and his wife, Linda; and Larry Simpson and his wife, Vonda; mother-in-law: Kay Swearingen and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Friday, February 28th 2020 at 2 p.m. at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore.
Family and friends visitation will be on Thursday, February 27th at 6-8 p.m. at Rice Funeral Service In Claremore
