Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Chastain
Kenneth Eugene Chastain was born November 1, 1927, in Hulbert, Oklahoma, to Edd Blake and Opal Sarah Rogers Chastain. He died Monday, July 6, 2020, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years. Ken was married November 21, 1960, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Betty Gene Greer. He spent most of his working life as a mechanic and stationary engineer with American Airlines in Tulsa. He and Betty had made their home in Collinsville, Oklahoma, before moving to Tulsa in 1976. Ken loved music, especially bluegrass and country music. He played the guitar and was proud of his 1958 Gibson guitar. He enjoyed spending time fishing, but particularly enjoyed his role of Papa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Final resting place will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
