On Sunday, August 2, 2020, Larry Lee Swimmer, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 67. Larry was born on November 10, 1952 in Tahlequah, OK to Charley William Swimmer and Lorene Phillips. He grew up in Bell Gardens (Los Angeles County), CA where he played baseball. Ultimately his greatest passion was family, Larry embraced his abundance of nephews and nieces from both sides of his family and enjoyed mentoring and developing his grandchildren. Larry had an enormous circle of friends and coworkers whom he considered family and became very close and created an unbreakable bond with his brother-in-law James “Bub” Locust. He was known for his quick wit, his even quicker come backs, and very competitive nature and always had the last word but above all he was known for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone however he could. Larry’s legacy is his passion and love for his family, friends, and his love for his wife, children and grandchildren is second to none. Larry will forever be missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Charley William Swimmer, and stepmother Imagene Miller Swimmer, and mother Lorene Phillips, and brother Charles “Ned” Wayne Swimmer.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his two children, Jerad and Angelia, three grandchildren, Alec, Keri, and London, his sisters, Lynn, Linda, and Kimberly, and brother Alex, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
