The Passing of Brother Pat Butler

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the passing of Brother Pat Butler on September 7, 2024.

Pat had started working with us here at American Airlines in 1998 as an Overhaul Support Mechanic.

Charles Patrick “Pat” Butler was born on June 30, 1974 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Frederick and Marsha (Hestily) Butler. He passed away on September 7, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 50.

Pat was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Georgiana Butler and his maternal grandparents, Ed and Marion Hestily.

Pat was a 1992 graduate of Stigler High School. He attended OSU – Okmulgee and completed his degree in Heat/Air. He worked in the Heat/Air business in Dallas, Texas and Muskogee before beginning a career as a mechanic with American Airlines, a career that lasted 28 years. He enjoyed working on classic vehicles, collecting guns, spending time with his daughters, and traveling all over the United States.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Mallory Chapel in Stigler.
