It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the passing of retired Brother Bobby Funderburgh on October 18, 2024.
Bobby hired on with American Airlines in 1961 and retired from the position of Crew Chief, Aviation Maintenance Technician in 1996.

Obituary for Bobby Glenn “T-Bird” Funderburgh
Bobby Glenn “T-Bird” Funderburgh was born on October 14, 1931, in McKinney, Texas to Alva Kerby Funderburgh and Lydia Mae (Moore) Funderburgh. He passed from this life on Friday, October 18, 2024, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years. Bobby was raised and educated in George West, Texas and graduated with the George West High School Class of 1950. He then enlisted and served his country honorably in the United Staes Air Force overseas during the Korean War. Bobby spent most of his working life as a mechanic with American Airlines in Tulsa for 37 years. He was married on May 26, 1956, in Catoosa, Oklahoma to Charleene (Norris) Funderburgh. After Charleene passed, he later remarried to Barbara Perry (Basden) Funderburgh on August 18, 2001, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bobby was a long time faithful member of Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Tulsa, and more recently at Central Baptist Church in Owasso. In his spare time he enjoyed a variety of past times such as playing golf and tennis. He is survived by:
