It is with heartfelt sadness that we share with you the passing of retired Brother Bobby Lollis on September 19th, 2024.
Bobby had started working here at American Airlines in 1972 and retired from the position of Crew Chief Mechanic – Overhaul, Welder in 2006.

Bobby Joe Lollis, 79, of Owasso, OK passed September 19, 2024
Bob was born in Tulsa, OK to William and Trophel Lollis on November 28, 1944.
He graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1963. That same year, through the Edison brothers, he met the love of his life, Theresa Mae Edison. They were married on December 14, 1963. He worked at American Airlines for 38 years and retired as crew chief over the case weld shop. His appointment as Crew Chief allowed him to happily share his vast knowledge by mentoring many of the younger co-workers. American Airlines was also a hot-spot for many intense games of dominoes over the years.
Bob had many activities and hobbies. To name just a few: fishing, music, jewelry making, bowling, ceramics, quilting and stained glass. He was truly a jack of all trades. If you had a question or a quandary, he always had an answer and a joke to go with it. He honestly never met a stranger and would talk the leg off of absolutely anyone. Family meant everything to him. Bragging on his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was always a topic of any conversation he had. Going to their activities such as wrestling matches, band performances, softball and basketball games while cheering them on was a highlight in his life. He relished taking all of the kids on fishing, camping and traveling trips. He loved gathering the family together to enjoy the best foods. Some of the favorites included pickles, mini peanut butter cups, chocolate soldiers, meat and cheese trays, fish frys, and smoked meats.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother William “Bill” Lollis.
Bob is survived by his wife Theresa, sister Doreena Hoss and
