It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Martin on Friday, July 3, 2026, a dedicated member of our union family who served American Airlines for an incredible 34 years. Joe began his journey with us in 1973 as an Aviation Maintenance technician and went on to retire in 2007 as Airline Inspector.
Throughout his career, Joe demonstrated unwavering commitment, integrity, and passion for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our airline’s operations. His dedication to our union and its members was a source of inspiration to us all.
As we mourn the loss of this remarkable individual, we extend our sincerest condolences to the Martin family. May they find comfort in the memories of Joe’s life, his love, and his legacy.
We will be keeping the Martin Family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We hope that their grief is eased by the outpouring of support from our union community.
